Region 23 held their Beach Training session at their usual venue at Port Noarlunga and, as always, it was well attended. Naturally, a fair bit of the training was in the water but safety first was evident with the headgear worn. Region 23 held their Senior Class Dinner in early November at the Marion Hotel and this year the theme was "Myths and Legends". As to be expected their were some quite interesting characters attending on the night, some believeable and others ....... Of course being a Karate Dinner, there was the token Ninja and his adoring Japanese Schoolgirl fans. The highlight of the evening was the premiere of "NKV IV - A New Low", a very amusing short movie, with a few R9 identities getting a mention.. It has to be seen to be believed. Hosted by John McDonald and presented by Kirsty Kane, the award for "Sensei of the Year" went to Steve Burford, with the Most Dedicated award being won by Ray Spiteri.
